Caption by Tim Hooker: The sole survivor of a group of 5 large chestnuts mentioned in Hutchins Book of Dorset. Girth of E2 (2) was 43'10" in 1990 and would already have had a girth of 28 ft in 1802. Another one nearby (E225) with a girth 16'9" in 1990 woulld only have been about 1 ft in girth in 1802 From Scapbook that came from Grounds Department.
