Racquet Court, Canford

EL02214

Interesting view of Rackets / Real Tennis Court Donated by local historian Andrew Hawkes, who thinks the photo is from between 1900 and 1915: Guess, as all this type of postcards stopped at the beginning of theá First World War, to the 1920s when Black and White postcards came in It must be a amazing survivor, as there would have been only (less than?) 100 printed originally, it probably never sold a copy and the rest put in the bin or it sold all 100 copies and this is the only survivor! I have been collecting Poole & Canford cards for some 50 years and I have never seen this one. á Kind Regards A n d r e wá á H a w k e s 99 High Street Pooleá BH15 1AN áááááááááááá
