Letter to Gill Trickett (2006) explaining enclosures: (poorly) photocopied Chapter II of "Historical Records of the 9th Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers" by Captain H Cooke, MC; Extracts from "The Quaysider, the battalion magazine; battalion notes from the St George's Gazette, Regimental Magazine, Dec 1914 and February 1915 Post card has Len Sanderson with group of soldiers posing formally in front of building. Addressee is Miss Mabel Patterson. It was donated to archive in 1994 by Richard Irving (son of Mabel Patterson?) together with a Christmas card sent by Sanderson to Miss Patterson from the front on 1916. Sanderson still alive in 1970.. Northumberland Fusiliers were at Canford in 1913 Correspondence between Norman Prowting, Robin Whicker and the Regimental Museum of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers 'The Fifth' concerning the presentation by the latter of scarlet cassocks to the choice of the Canford Magna Parish Church (including the 'certificate' of presentation). Includes small photo of soldiers to attention in grounds. Two photos added in 2018; provenance unknown
