Sport's trophies

Paperwork explaining the gift of a large number of silver cups from Hailey School. When HS closed, all the trophies were presented to the schools where the last winners went on to from HSl. As it was a local prep school many pupils came to Canford and the cups have since been used to replace a number of the trophies lost when Court House was burgled.

A number of letters to and from the HM. Some are just about booking space for matches, but most show the decreasing interest in staging matches. Those with Winchester focus on mismatches; a four way match between Kings (Bruton), Sherborne, Canford and Marlborough) cancelled for medical reasons; the school doctor is involved; boxing is made optional and then stopped.
