Chemistry 4th form workbook

BX75-21

"Chemistry class ledger for 4th form (academic years 1990-1991) which might be a good sample. This is for the top set, taught by Andrew Browning (‘AWB’) who was a very distinguished teacher, head of chemistry, and until recently Headmaster of Dumpton School, which as you may know is a main feeder prep school for Canford. We were working towards the GCSE set by the Southern Examining Group (whose papers were all on a rather queasy green background although sadly I don’t have any samples of that! At the time, all three sciences were compulsory at the school up to GCSE and oddly were taken with different boards, Physics with the Northern Examining Association, which we took in what was evidently the last year of its independent existence, 1992; and Biology with the – rather more old-school – Midland Examining Group, former Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board). Donated by OC Richard Anderson (M94)
