Vaughan Williams' setting of 'Blackmore Maidens' a poem by Dorset poet William Barnes that references the Stour and Wimborne Handel's 'Did you not hear my lady' Stuart Leonard was Director of Music from 1923-46; Charles Beresford taught Classice from 1929-66. No date on recording so could have been recorded at any time between 1929 and 1945, but likely to be the 1940s. They regularly put on concerts, together with Beresford's wife, Pamela, an opera singer.
