July 1933. Donated by Pip Pyper (daughter of Patrick Rawlence (SH33). Pyper's notes:Dad (b 1916 so that would make him just 17) is shown at the bow.He was the course checker as he had a boil on his bottom & was unable to row! Behind Dad is John S A Humphries. At the stern is Paul PernThe Cox was Durran.The man with the megaphone & the white trousers (behind Durran) is the Rev Jack Collins - he was 6' 7'' & a Cambridge Blue. Beside him in the dog-collar is 'CBC'- the Canford School headmaster - CB Canning. The boy in the white trousers behind Humphries is James Hole, the Head boy. We think that Dad's Mother -Mrs Donnithorne Rawlence- is the lady in the hat at the top left of the picture.
