Donated by Dr James Appleyard (W Marshall W54)M Clunes (M57), writing in the OC Magazine (Septembor 07), recalls the damage done to one of the then new classrooms when some boy was allowed to drive a visiting army armoured scout car.(The build.ings - referred to as Science Block in the 1955 School Map and at other times as the New Classrooms, were the northern part of the stable courtyard. The south side was Salisbury House and later the staff common room.)See EL01598 for how they looked before being developed

"This is the Mountjoy Press in the cellars of the main builidng. We had a Wharfdale that took 11 turns of the handle for each impression and all the typesetting was by hand.
