On October 12th, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater was sung by the Wimborne Ladies' Choir, conducted by Mr. Leonard. The soloists were Miss Horsey and Mrs. Leonard. On October 27th, a Lecture on Purcell was given to the School by Mr. Leonard. The talk was illustrated with solos and duets sung by Mrs. Leonard and Mr. Beresford.On November 30th we broadcast the Sunday Half-hour in the Forces Programme at 7.30p.m. This broadcast was arranged by Mr. Piggott. Mr. Leonard conducted and reading swere given by Mr. Kitter master. At the end of the hymn-singing the Headmaster said some prayers and pronounced the blessing. The soloists were Mrs. Leonard and Mr. Beresford. The violins were led by Miss Thompson and the two pianos were played by Mr. Piggott and Miss Butler. We are grateful to the members of the specially selected choir which sang so well the verses allotted to it. We were encouraged by a great many con-gratulations from friends and also from several officials of the B.B.C. On December13th we enjoyed an excellent concert of piano and vocal music given by Miss Jean Hamiltonand Mr. Wilfrid Blunt. The School Concert took place on the last Wednesday of term.
