This year has probably been the Canoe Club's most successful one for some time since we now have eight members who are in national divisions. This success is due to the construction of a permanent mini-slalom course which can be used at any time and was the generous gift of the Canford School Society. The annual school slalom is now a national ranking event and this year the Canford 'A*team (Duncan, Short and Moody) won the team event. In addition, Ian Duncan won the Judges' event and Adam Conyers came second in the Mens K.I competition .Rolling classes were again held this summer and as a result more members of the school have mastered the technique of rolling than ever before. The canoe club would like to thank Mr. Symonds for the time and energy which he devotes to the smooth running of the club, and Mr. Hamilton for the assistance he has given this year
